The Ballad of Boo and Lou

Boo is a buck moth caterpillar who plays the spoons in the music-filled nights in New Orleans. As a performer, she is unrivaled, until one night, she meets Lou, a tap-dancing luna moth caterpillar. Was it destiny or chance? They don’t care – they fall in love and make beautiful music together. When the time comes for them to spin their cocoons and become moths, their lives seem poised for a story-book ending. It is only then that Boo and Lou realize that some happy endings are bittersweet.

The Ballad of Boo and Lou is a ukulele puppet musical for kids and adults (15 min run time). First performed at the Black Cherry Puppet Slamwich in Baltimore on September 21, 2019.

The Ballad of Boo and Lou will also be adapted as a children’s picture book.
